Motion 1

This Council believes that the franchise should be extended to include 16 and 17-year- olds and that young people should be fully able participate in the political process. This Council backs the national ‘Votes at 16’ campaign and further supports strong, non-partisan political education for pre-A Level pupils.

Council calls upon the Cabinet to work with the Cardiff Youth Council to help lobby for these changes.
