RESOLVED: that

1.            the Corporate Plan 2018-21 be approved for consideration by Council on 24 May 2018; and

2.            Council be recommended to delegate authority to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader of the Council, to make any consequential amendments to the Corporate Plan 2018-21 following consideration by Council on 24 May 2018 and prior to publication.

Cabinet received the Corporate Plan 2018-2012 for re-consideration following the Council’s decision not to approve it at their meeting in April. It was reported that the plan contained many references to tacking inequality in all forms, including health inequality. Following the debate at Council, the Administration’s commitment to tackling health inequality in Cardiff had been clarified and strengthened and an additional step had been included to consider emerging guidance on undertaking statutory Health Impact Assessments in order to inform the development of future Corporate Plans.
