AGREED: that agreement be given to undertake a procurement exercise via the Welsh Procurement Alliance Framework to appoint a contractor to build the Community Living Scheme at the Bute Street, Butetown. In doing so agree the evaluation criteria as set out in paragraph 12 of the body of the report.

 

Reasons for the decision:

To identify and appoint a preferred contractor to develop a new Community Living Scheme, comprising of 45 apartments for older people together with support and communal facilities.  The development also includes a community facility which will be let to a selected group on a lease. The scheme was awarded planning consent in April 2022 and the project is included in the HRA Business Plan. The project will provide much needed older person accommodation 26and community facilities and forms part of the Council’s approved new build programme.
