AGREED: that approval be given to a payment of £117,500 to Parkwood to provide additional supplier relief (due to Covid-19) in respect of the operation by Parkwood of Cardiff International Pool (CIP). This amount includes £12,500 as a retrospective payment for the period 20th to 31st March 2020 and £35,000 per month for the period July to September 2020..
There is a risk that Parkwood will not recover from the income losses sustained during COVID 19 resulting in job losses, inability to maintain a Council Asset and closure of the Cardiff International Pool.
To enable the support of loss of income due to part facility closure.
The ability to deliver the Councils contribution to the Health and Wellbeing of Future Generations Act.
