At its meeting on 14 December 2017 the Cabinet approved the prioritised schemes under Band B of the 21st Century Schools Programme.

This report provides an update on schemes progressed to date, and considers current challenges and opportunities facing Cardiff in the development of the education estate, including sufficiency needs resulting from population change, condition and suitability.

RESOLVED: that

1.            the matters outlined in this report and considerations for the next 12 months for the School Organisation Programme be noted

2.            it be agreed that officers bring forward a School Organisation Strategy within the next financial year that leads to priority projects against the next tranche of funding of the Sustainable Communities for Learning.
