The Council has to set out how it applies the Local Government Pension Scheme Discretions in a distinct policy and the proposed new LGPS Discretions Policy meets that requirement. The new policy will also include a proposal to use the discretion to support a Shared cost salary sacrifice Additional Voluntary Contribution Scheme as part of the Employee Benefits Platform.
Due to the introduction of this proposed new policy it is also necessary to amend the Council’s Voluntary Early Retirement/Flexible Retirement and Voluntary Redundancy Policy
