Bilingual Cardiff Strategy

Standard 145 of the Welsh language standards requires Cardiff Council to produce and publish a five year strategy which sets out how we will promote and facilitate the use of Welsh. This strategy will include a target to increase the number of Welsh speakers within Cardiff as well as specific actions to facilitate the use of the language to support the Welsh Government’s Cymraeg 2050 vision to achieve a million Welsh speakers by 2050.

The first Bilingual Cardiff Strategy was put in place for 2017-2022 and this represents its first revision and will be operational for 2022-2027.
