This Council agrees the following:

1.           to welcome the undertaking given not to lease the former PDSA building in Butetown for it to become a drug rehabilitation centre.

2.           that given the widespread problem of discarded, dirty needles in some parts of the City, extra specialist cleansing resources will be allocated to such areas in order to solve the problem.

3.           that in order to alleviate the problem of the injection of drugs in public places in Cardiff, the Council will support a pilot scheme of medically supervised, safe injection rooms, when the agreement of partner agencies and authorities is reached.
