The purpose of the Committee is to decide planning
applications that have been referred to them for
consideration.
The Committee usually meets 12 times a year and
County Hall where the meeting is webcast. The Committee is made up of 12 councillors
appointed to reflect the political balance of the
Council.
Members of the public are allowed to speak if they
have presented a petition to Council with no fewer than 50 Cardiff
electors’ signatures with addresses. The application has a right of response at that
time, however, that only applies if the objector(s) has registered
to speak.
Meetings of the Planning Committee are webcast
live and are available following the meeting on the Council
Website.
