The City of Cardiff Council’s Commissioning and Procurement team has been hosting and providing administration services for the current South East Wales Collaborative Civils Construction Framework since 2017. 

The current framework is due to expire in May 2022, in order for the City of Cardiff Council to have a compliant procurement route and to support the collaborative agenda the Commissioning and Procurement team require cabinet approval to commence the re-procurement of the framework.

RESOLVED: that

1.            Agreement in principal be given to the commencement of the re-procurement of the current South East Wales Collaborative Civils Engineering and Highways Construction Framework and

2.            Authority be delegated  to the  Corporate Director  Resources, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Finance, Performance and Modernisation, to carry out all aspects of the procurement, (including  setting the evaluation methodology, commencing procurement and award of successful contractors to the framework) and thereafter to host and deal with  the operation of the framework arrangements, including any  ancillary matters relating thereto.
