Agreed: that approval be given to the continuation of the ongoing contractual arrangement with SAP for the provision of Enterprise Support in respect of SAP software, which contract shall be for an indefinite term (which term can be terminated on notice) as more particularly detailed in the body of the report

 

Reasons for the decision:

The current contract for SAP Support is in place until April 2022.  The intention is to put in place a procurement compliant extension to the support contract arrangements, as a like for like equivalent cannot be purchased elsewhere. No other organisation can supply the security and feature enhancement patches that are part of the support contract as supplied by SAP.
