Agreed: that

 

1.  Agreement be given to invite tenders from suppliers within Lot 8 of the South East Wales Framework for the construction of the Tudor Street Business Environment and Green Infrastructure Scheme contract.  The estimated value of the construction contract is £2.8m

 

2.  The proposed form of contract be an NEC4 Option A Priced Contract with Activity Schedule.

 

3.  The tender exercise be carried out subject to the caveats set out in the legal advice contained within the report

 

Reasons for the decision:

To enable the Council to go out to tender for construction of the Tudor Street Business Environment and Green Infrastructure Scheme should the Council decide to proceed with the scheme following the carrying out of the statutory process (which process involves the right to objection and therefore may mean that the proposals may or may not proceed). The tender exercise will be carried out subject to the caveats set out in the legal advice set out in this report.
