AGREED: that the 2% interim annual uplift for 2020/21 for domiciliary care services be agreed, for all existing contracts in place under the Accredited Provider List system and spot arrangements which will be backdated to the 1st April 2020.
Reasons for the decision:
· The NLW increase for 2020/21 has increased by 6.25% along with the additional pressures placed on providers for auto enrolment of pensions schemes and cost of living increases reflect in the Consumer Price Index
(CPI).
· Providers have requested an interim uplift to enable Officers to undertake detailed work to inform final decision-making given that this work cannot be undertaken quickly and providers are already having to meet the additional aforementioned workforce related costs. The additional work required will be informed by cost schedules previously submitted by providers to inform the Cost of care exercise that commenced earlier this year, but was halted as a result of the COVID - 19 Crisis. It will also take into account current levels of demand for services and the Council’s available resources.
