The purpose of the proposed sum is to provide supplier relief due to Covid-19 as per recommendations in PPN02/20 to GLL. Further, if it is proposed that there would be an initial payment of £400k with a possibility of a further payment following open book assessment.
Agreed: that a payment of up to £400,000.00 be to GLLbe approved to provide supplier relief (due to Covid-19) in respect of the operation by GLL of the Council’s leisure centres.
There is a risk that GLL will not recover from the losses sustained during COVID 19 resulting in job losses and facility closures.
To enable the support of furloughed staff to be retained at 100% salary.
The ability to deliver the Councils contribution to the Health and Wellbeing of Future Generations Act.
