AGREED: that one of the additional governors appointed in January 2019 be nominated Chair of the Governing Body, pursuant to Section 6 (3) of the School Standards and Organisation (Wales) Act 2013
Pursuant to the SSOW Act 2013, one or more of the statutory grounds for intervention by the Council exist, and the exercise of one or more of the Council's powers of intervention is necessary in order to address the concerns and secure improvement. However, the additional governor nominated as chair by the Council in March 2019 has tendered her resignation from the Governing Body. A replacement chair of Governors is therefore required.
Subject to Urgent Proceedings: The Monitoring Officer and the Chair of the Children and Young People's Scrutiny Committee have agreed the decision should be taken on an urgent basis, and is therefore not subject to call-in, but should be reported for information to the next available Council meeting, in accordance with the Scrutiny Procedure Rules, Rule 13.
