Decision:

Agreed: that commencement of a procurement exercise through the framework set out in the report for a contractor to deliver central heating installations in private rented accommodation across Wales be authorised.

Reasons for the decision:

The Warm Homes Fund (WHF) is a £150million fund provided by National Grid and administered by Affordable Warmth Solutions (AWS) across England, Scotland and Wales. Rent Smart Wales is the recipient of the Affordable Warmth Solutions funding on behalf of the Welsh Authorities and will lead on the co-ordination of applications from landlords / tenants.

The intention   is to appoint a contractor that will be responsible for installing gas central heating as well as cavity wall and loft insulation where relevant across Wales in accordance with the requirements of the Affordable Warmth Solutions Recipient Agreement.
