Agreed: that the Dry Mixed Recyclate contract be awarded to Coltar Recycling Ltd for both Lots 1 (Residential) and Lot 2 (Commercial)
The reason for the recommended decision is that the Authority requires an arrangement for the collection, processing, reuse/recycling/recovery and disposal of this municipal waste to maximise recycling performance and avoid potential Welsh Government fines. The service will also include a contingency for any unforeseen breakdowns to its MRF and ensure continuity of service and prevent any knock-on impacts to the collection of waste.
The Service Provider will offer collection from the Waste Transfer Station (WTS) and the safe and compliant transportation of the waste to their designated licenced treatment facility (ies).
