Agreed: that
1) the contract be awarded to Biobag Ltd for the provision of biodegradable bags on a 24 month basis with the option to extend for a further 12 months. 3 year value being £1,230,546.00.
2) a formal contract be established with Biobag Ltd.
3) those providers that have submitted a tender in this matter be informed of the outcome of the evaluation process.
The previous biodegradable bag contract has expired and the council have completed the proposed procurement exercise via the YPO framework. For the purpose of continuous improvement and best value, waste management should proceed with a tendering exercise to appoint Biobag Ltd.
