The service was launched in 2009 (with support of Welsh Government grant) as a “one-stop-shop” designed to improve the access to public services for vulnerable people whose first language isn’t English or Welsh and those who may be disadvantaged by a disability.
The service is currently hosted by Gwent Police however they have been seeking a Local Authority partner to take over hosting responsibilities due to the legal restrictions they have with regards to the running and development of the service.
Proposal to move the service over to City of Cardiff Council to host the service by end of financial year.
