Local Authorities have a statutory duty under section 44 of the Welsh Language [Wales] Measure 2011 to comply with regulation ‘Welsh language standards’.

Cardiff Council is under a duty to comply with standards relating to producing and publishing an Annual Report.

This will be the seventh annual report produced under the Welsh language standards.

In addition the Policy Development – Compliance with the Welsh Language Standards policy document will be included for approval as an appendix to the Annual Report. This policy has been produced to support compliance with the Policy Development Welsh Language Standards
