The Learning Disability Plan will set out our approach to developing services for people with a learning disability.
The Learning Disability Delivery Plan will reflect the ambitions set out in the Cardiff and Vale Joint Commissioning Strategy for Adults with Learning Disabilities “Promoting Independence and Improving Lives” 2019-2024. It is proposed that this strategy is extended as its principles are still relevant but that a refreshed Delivery Plan is put in place to set out how Cardiff will delivery the aims of the Strategy.
The Delivery Plan will include our approach to the further development of supported living provision, day services, transition, respite and a range of support to help people with a learning disability to live well in their communities, including social, employment and further education opportunities
It will also set out our commissioning priorities including our approach to commissioning residential placements. The plan will aim to enhance partnership working to deliver better outcomes for adults with learning disabilities.
