The report set out proposals for the of development of the Cardiff care home market, and will cover:
• Analysis of care home market in respect of sufficiency and sustainability and how well placed the market is to meet Adult Services current and future commissioning priorities .
• Preliminary findings from an analysis of the cost of care exercise for older peoples’ care home placements and the anticipated impact on the development of a new fee setting strategy.
• The recommended approach to commissioning care home placements including an options appraisal of the different commissioning models.
• An update on the development work undertaken to improve the quality of care home provision.
