The Council is required, under Part 3 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014, to undertake a Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment and to make provision for sites where the assessment identifies an unmet need for Gypsy and Traveller pitches.
Cabinet in September 2016 agreed for the Council to undertake further technical investigations and for Cabinet to receive a report with the findings of the technical studies along with overall conclusions on the site( s) considered most appropriate to meet the need for Gypsy and Traveller accommodation.
