Appendix B of this report is exempt from publication pursuant to the provisions of paragraph 16 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972

AGREED: that subject to confirmation of funding from Welsh Government, the letting of interim contracts for the provision of housing related support services funded by the Supporting People Programme with each of the 25 support providers as set out at Appendix A to the report be authorised, with such contracts to have a term of 12 months, with an option to extend for up to a further period of 12 months and to commence upon 1 April 2017.

1.    To put in place appropriate contract arrangements for the provision of housing related support services under the Supporting People Programme during the interim period whilst a phased approach to the recommissioning of services is undertaken.

2.    To facilitate these short term arrangements, authority has been delegated to the Director of Communities, Housing and Customer Service in consultation with the Cabinet Member (Health, Housing and Wellbeing), the Council’s Section 151 Officer and the County Solicitor to deal with all aspects pertaining to the direct award of these contracts This approach was agreed by Cabinet on 15^th September 2016.
