Decision:

AGREED: that

 

1)      Lot 2 – Compact sweepers to Dawson Sweepers Ltd for the provision of Compact sweepers on a contract hire basis with maintenance for a period of three years with a value of £925,434.72 (Including Options) be awarded

 

2)      the formal conclusion of a contract with Dawson Sweepers Ltd be approved

 

3)      that all providers that submitted a tender for these provisions be informed of the outcome of the evaluation and procurement process.

 

Reasons for the decision:

Whilst the evaluation of Lot 1 (Refuse and hook lift vehicles) continues, to award Lot 2 to ensure that the procurement period remains valid and the authority can secure the vehicles at the cost submitted by Dawson Sweepers Ltd.

 

Both vehicle groups were previously contract hired with maintenance but are currently out of contract, the Council needs to ensure compliance with the EU Procurement Regulations along with its out Contract Standing Order rules.
