· The table within the report demonstrates that under the proposal the annual rental per perch would remain affordable for customers - consistent with the provisions of the 1950 Allotments Act. The average increase of 4% is based on the RPI for October 2017 (the most recent RPI figure available).
· By comparison, where increases in fees and charges for 2017/18 for Parks and Outdoor Sport are being proposed they average out at 5.46%
· In terms of affordability, plot holders aged 60 and above and those in receipt of qualifying benefits and possession of a MAX Active Card will continue to be eligible for a 50% reduction in the rental fee. Furthermore, there is an option for plot holders to spread their payments quarterly.
