Agreed: that the Council proceed with the purchase of 40,Trowbridge Green, Rumney from the open market, at the valuation figure contained in the Home Buyer’s Report attached at Appendix 1 to the report
To enable Communities & Housing to purchase the property, retain it with the councils housing stock and let it at a social rent level using the council’s allocations process. The Council has a very high demand for 3 bedroom houses across all areas of the city but very little availability. The purchase of properties from the open market will assist in improving this situation.
